Popular Caboolture Fair Postponed

St. Michael’s College, Caboolture Principal, Chris Allom broke the news to the community that the popular St. Michael’s College Fair has had to be postponed due to soggy grounds.

“The good news is we have a new date, which is going to be the 8th of October,” Principal Chris Allom said in the video above.

“The bad news is unfortunately the previous date (this weekend) has had to be cancelled because the grounds at the school are just far too wet; because of all of the rain that we’ve had recently.

“Thankfully, the rain has stopped today and it’s giving us a chance to dry out a little bit.”

Further, Principal Allom explained that the fair is more than just a school event, and acknowledged the hard work and dedication given by the Parents and Friends Association.

“It’s an event where we’re able to bring together the wider Caboolture community and share a really fun, positive experience,” Principal Allom explained.

“The P&F do a lot of work to ensure that the fair is a successful event for the school.

“There is an element of fundraising that goes with the fair, but for us as a school, the fair is more about bringing community together and having one of those events that the community can look forward to and sharing a bit of an experience of what St. Michael’s is like with those people that don’t come here on a daily basis.”

For anyone wishing to have a look at the college and find out if this school is a good fit for their child, tours with the principal are available.
